Disney Allows Visitors To Ditch The Masks

No mask, no problem. Beginning Tuesday, Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy and the rest of the Disney crew can see your maskless mug react to being told the price of a Mickey Pretzel is $7.

Disney announced on its website that visitors who are vaccinated will no longer be required to wear masks. The theme park will be going by the honor system and proof of vaccination will not be required. Meaning, both those who are vaccinated and those who choose to lie about being vaccinated can enjoy the happiest place on earth mask-free.

The theme park says that face coverings will still be required on the Disney Skyliner, buses, monorails, and the aerial gondola. Individuals who are not vaccinated are expected to wear face coverings throughout the park.

Unfortunately for kids and creeps, Disney is continuing to disallow hugging the characters, per their website: We will be relaxing physical distancing guidelines for Guests. This will be visible in places like queues, shops, restaurants, attraction boarding, transportation and our theaters. It’s important to remember that some experiences and entertainment may still be operating with limited capacity or may remain temporarily unavailable. We’re not quite ready to bring back everything yet, but we are optimistic and look forward to the day when Disney pals and princesses are able to hug once again.

With the mask requirement lifted, you can put the money you save on purchasing face coverings towards a one-day ticket to the park. That’ll run you $109 before taxes.
