OutKick's Tomi Lahren Gets Personal: Had To Hide Relationships Because Of Her Political Views

Tomi Lahren isn't shy about sharing her political views publicly, as the host of Tomi Lahren is Fearless on OutKick. But when it comes to relationships, especially with prominent individuals, Lahren hasn't always been allowed to be so open.

During a recent interview on The Skinny podcast, Lahren discussed how politics can get in the way of public dating. Well, a certain kind of politics, namely opinions that don't conform to current progressive orthodoxy. She talked first about meeting her husband, former MLB player J.P. Arencibia, on Instagram, in part because he shared similar views. As she described it, he used Instagram DM's to reach out and said "love what you stand for."

But sharing conservative opinions isn't always so well received. And though Lahren didn't give the specifics of who she formerly dated or had relationships with, she did say that dating "celebrities" added a whole new level of challenge.

"I've dated celebrities in the past," Lahren said, "That didn't want people to know that we were together because there would be a substantial amount of backlash."

One of the podcast hosts couldn't believe it, saying "The fact that someone would hide who they're dating because of politics, to me, I don't understand."

Pretty much everyone who doesn't have far-left views understands perfectly.

Tomi Lahren's Very Relatable Story

Though Lahren did explain that she would let boyfriends know that she didn't need a ton of pictures taken or posted of her relationships, it's absurd that it's even remotely necessary to hide. But it shows just how powerful left-wing interests have become.

The media will never punish anyone for dating someone with extremist progressive views on climate change, radical gender ideology or censorship.

The standards only apply to those from the opposite side of the political spectrum. Lahren is just one of many examples of people having to hide who they are because of outside pressure to label anyone with conservative viewpoints. As always, the party of tolerance has none of it for those with different ideological opinions.

The Tomi Lahren is Fearless show airs Monday-Friday at 1pm Eastern on OutKick.
