WWE Hall of Famer Goes Off On Vulgar, F-Bomb Filled Rant During Ceremony
Wrestling fans expected Paul Heyman to go off last night during his WWE Hall of Fame induction ceremony and boy did he ever deliver.
The longtime ECW wrestling executive as well as on-camera manager of people such as Brock Lesner and Roman Reigns didn't hold back during his acceptance speech after being put aside wrestling's immortals.
And it was anything but PG-friendly.
PAUL HEYMAN'S HALL OF FAME SPEECH WILL GO DOWN IN HISTORY
Heyman delivered in true Paul Heyman fashion - something that longtime fans were hoping for as the former ECW CEO let the wrestling promotion's hometown Philadelphia crowd know that the Extreme in Extreme Championship Wrestling will always live on - despite not being currently active.
"If you think that the spirit of ECW died in a bankruptcy court in 2001 you can all suck my f'n d***," Heyman shouted in the center of the ring in front of tens of thousands of fans and fellow wrestlers.
‘DID HE JUST SAY WHAT I THINK HE SAID?’
The reaction literally almost blew the roof off the place as video shows even some of the WWE's biggest stars losing it over Heyman's words. In the video above, you can see Randy Orton jump out of his chair and straight up die laughing from it, while others, like Roman Reign's main event opponent this weekend Cody Rhoades, just looked right at current WWE CEO Triple H with a blank stare.
Paul Heyman has been involved in the wrestling business for almost four decades. He's one of the OG's and doesn't forget where he came from. As an executive, promoter, writer and on-screen talent, Heyman is one of the best to ever do it. So when he walked down the aisle towards the ring after being introduced decked out in his old school leather trench coat, vintage headset and an ECW hat - both fans and wrestlers were transported back into the glory days of the wrestling business.
You can be sur that last night's Hall of Fame ceremony set off what is going to absolutely be a historic WrestleMania 40 weekend at Philadelphia's Lincoln Financial Field.
Besides Roman Reigns and Cody Rhoades, fans will also be able to see The Rock return to the ring for the first time in over a decade, as well as Logan Paul, Becky Lynch and other superstars.
