WNBA Teams Moving Caitlin Clark Games To Larger Arenas

Caitlin Clark fever is still alive and well and now it's even giving an economic boost to local cities and their WNBA teams.

The Indiana Fever - which has the No. 1 draft pick in this year's WNBA draft and is obviously expected to choose Clark, has already seen a tremendous increase in both single game and season ticket sales.

The home opener, taking place against the New York Liberty at Indiana's Gainbridge Fieldhouse, is expected to be a 19,000 ticket sell out - with the cheapest ticket right now on StubHub going for at least $70 up in the nosebleeds.

But it's not just the home faithful that have jumped aboard the new-found Clark chaos.

CAITLIN CLARK STARDOM

The Las Vegas Aces announced that they are upgrading their home opener against Clark and the Fever to the T-Mobile Arena because of the heightened demand.  The new arena allows for an additional 7,000 seats.

Despite Iowa coming up short in the NCAA Women's Championship Final 87-75 to South Carolina, it's clear that fans are still all about wanting to see Clark when she comes to their city.

Clark became a household name this past year thanks to her sheer dominance while also becoming an inspiration to younger basketball players across the country.

That has also helped bring in profits for not only Clark and her various endorsements and sponsorship deals, but also local economies such as Iowa City, which brought in more than $80 million in additional revenue thanks to all the hype.

The big question is will casual fans tune into WNBA games this season to watch Clark play.

They will have the opportunity to: 36 of 40 ESPN nationally televised games will now feature the Indiana Fever.

Last year, the team had only one.
