Wisconsin Basketball Ripped In Brutal Fashion By Fans After Humiliating Loss

Wisconsin basketball fans are in a state of open revolt after losing to Iowa.

The Badgers were in control of the game against the Hawkeyes for large chunks of the action Saturday. However, Greg Gard and company, once again, managed to throw it all away and lost in overtime 88-86.

Wisconsin is now 17-9 and 1-5 over the last six games. Fans are downright livid. They should be. There's no excuse for the team to be this bad.

Wisconsin fans drag the team after Iowa loss.

Well, frustrations boiled over Saturday on social media. People took to X and Instagram to make their frustrations clear, and I was right there with them.

Check out some of the reactions below, and let me know your thoughts at David.Hookstead@outkick.com.

The reactions on Instagram were pretty much the same. It was a bloodbath in the comments section of the final score announcement.

I truly have no answers at this point. The Badgers were ranked sixth in the nation just a couple weeks ago. It's been a disaster since the Nebraska loss when Wisconsin blew an 18-point second half lead.

That was the start of the 1-5 slide the team is currently on. It's just gross and beyond infuriating. Greg Gard went from being in play for a possible one seed to having his seat heat up in a big way.

He really has nobody but himself to blame. Poor shot selection and a lack of defense ultimately comes down to coaching.

Next up is Maryland Tuesday night. The Badgers lose that one and the screaming about Greg Gard is going to hit a deafening level. Let me know your thoughts on the state of Wisconsin basketball at David.Hookstead@outkick.com.
