Will Dillon Gabriel Play Against Texas? The Final Decision Is In
Oklahoma quarterback Dillon Gabriel is out against Texas.
Gabriel has been dealing with a head injury suffered during the TCU game, and there was serious speculation about whether or not he'd suit up against the Longhorns. Now, the decision is in, and he is not playing.
QB Davis Beville is now the man for the Sooners.
Initially, Gabriel was out on the field warming up, but head coach Brent Venables made the call to not play the junior QB.
While there had been a chance Gabriel would play, the Sooners will be without him against the Longhorns.
It's a tough blow because Dillon Gabriel has been having himself an awesome time through five games. The Sooners might be a disappointing 3-2, but the former UCF QB is putting up numbers.
He's thrown for 1,215 yards, 11 touchdowns and zero interceptions so far this season. That's what you love to see out of your starting QB.
Now, Dillon Gabriel will watch the Sooners play the Longhorns from the sideline.
