Reasoning Behind Tiger Woods' New 'Sun Day Red' Brand Being Three Words Is Truly Hiarious

Tiger Woods revealed his new brand, logo, and apparel line called Sun Day Red ahead of the Genesis Invitational. While most golf fans were intrigued by the apparel the 15-time major winner would be releasing, confusion immediately set in surrounding the name itself, and why it was separated into three words.

The Red part of the equation is self-explanatory, given that Woods has long worn red during final rounds on Sundays. With that being the case, having the brand be called ‘Sunday Red’ would make plenty of sense, but Woods understandably wanted the name to catch people's attention right away, and separating the word Sunday into two words achieved that.

Why Is Tiger's Sun Day Red Brand Three Words?

According to Sun Day Red's official website, the word mark appears as 3 words for a simple reason: "there is a special power in 3's. Calling it Sun Day Red was a fun way for us to create something completely different and unexpected."

Sun Day Red certainly checked the boxes of being different and unexpected.

The reasoning behind the split-up name isn't solely a quick gimmick to get people talking about it and searching for articles exactly like this one you're reading right now, there's a bit more depth to it all.

Tiger Woods just really loves the sun, and having the word standalone apparently just felt right. He also enjoys playing golf in the day. Those are the brand's wording, not mine.

"Born from a love for being outside in the sun, the joy of playing golf during the day, and a special red being the brands power color - as soon as Sun Day Red was placed on a garment for the first time, it just looked perfect."

It's hard to believe that we can continue to learn new things about the 15-time major champions, but we can officially confirm that Tiger Woods enjoys the sun and would much rather play golf during the day instead of at night, because that's definitely a thing.

There is also the very real possibility that Woods and TaylorMade, which will produce the line, ran into some hiccups when trying to trademark ‘Sunday Red.' Woods simply paying homage to the sun, however, is far more fun go along with though.
