UFC Fighter Chito Vera's Home Broken Into During Main Event Against Sean O'Malley
Ain't that a kick in the head …
Coming off a bruising loss to Sean O'Malley, UFC fighter Marlin "Chito" Vera suffered more bad news. Vera shared on social media that his home in Miami was broken into during his fight against O'Malley at UFC 299.
The 31-year-old bantamweight fighter posted a photo of his door, smashed in by what Vera assumed were burglars who specifically targeted him during his big fight.
"The f**king a**holes that broke into my home, I’m gonna find you," Vera posted on his Instagram Stories, relayed by MMA Junkie.
Vera provided more insight into the home invasion.
"The context is last night there was a robbery," Vera added on his IG profile.
"They broke into our house. Though they are material things, they are things that have been bought with a lot of effort and hard work. But hey, these types of things happen," he added.
Fortunately for the burglars, Vera was not present to show them true American home defense like Sean Strickland did last year. Strickland (in)famously caught a burglar trying to enter his home and held the delinquent at gunpoint.
Though knowing Vera, the fighter will want revenge on the people who broke into his home.
It is not confirmed whether Vera has taken the issue to authorities.
