Tyreek Hill Says He Would've Been A Jet If Adam Sandler Had Just Called Him

There could've been another target for New York Jets quarterbacks to throw to if Adam Sandler had just picked up the phone and given Tyreek Hill a call.

The Dolphins wideout was a guest on Ravens cornerback Marlon Humphrey's Punch Line Podcast, and during the interview, Hill talked about how he came close to signing with the Jets.

However, he revealed that the deal was not sealed because the SNL alum/man who makes movies where he wants to vacation (which is brilliant) didn't phone him up.

"He didn't call me, bro," Hill said. "I was almost a New York Jet. I'm a huge Adam Sandler guy and Adam Sandler loves the New York Jets so my request was, if Adam Sandler was to call me and ask me to come play for the Jets, I would've went."

That is… that is an odd request.

It makes you wonder if this is true, was it even something the Jets were privy to. Like they thought they had a deal just about closed then radio silence from Hill's camp because there was no call from Sandler.

Also, if you're Adam Sandler (you're not, but as a thought exercise, imagine you are) imagine how miffed you'd be to learn one of the best receivers in the NFL could've been a jet had you made a quick phone call.

Tough to hear.

However, Hill doesn't seem to have any ill will toward the man who unleashed the likes of Jack & Jill on the movie-going public.

"I want to play in Hustle," Hill said. "I love Adam Sandler. Bruh, he could've made a football Hustle movie, ya feel me?"

That led to some talk of what the cast for that would look like. Hill said it would need to include Chiefs QB but believe it or not, not because of the acting chops he has shown in State Farm commercials opposite Andy Reid.

"He's the face of the league, you've got to have Mahomes in there," Hill said. "And it's got to be about Lamar Jackson. I just feel like his story is the greatest story of all time as a quarterback."

So, there you go, Sandler. Make the call. It may not lead to Hill becoming a Jet, but you could wind up with a "football Hustle movie."
