Tulane, Louisiana Feuding Over Who Has Cheapest Beer In College Football

Tulane and Louisiana-Lafayette aren't exactly powerhouses in college football. But they do have one thing going for them: really cheap beer.

On Wednesday, an aggregator account posted a graphic showing the price of beer at several college football stadiums (according to Oddspedia) on Twitter / X. While the NCAA average is $8.34, TCU and Tulane are doing the Lord's work by offering $3 beers at their football games.

The Green Wave's social media team took advantage of this golden opportunity by sharing a graphic promoting the cheapest brews in college football.

"What more could you ask for?" the Tulane Football account posted. "Get your season tickets today!"

Well done, team. Solid marketing.

But not so fast! The Ragin' Cajuns have entered the chat. Apparently, fans can grab an ice-cold Natty Light for just $2 at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette's home field. So the ULL social media team posted a season ticket promo of their own — touting the "actual cheapest beer in college football."

"Fixed it for you, see you in September," the Cajuns wrote.

The two teams will face off Sept. 21 at Louisiana. And no matter the outcome, with $2 beers, everybody wins.

By the way, the University of Tennessee (my alma mater) has the most expensive beers in college football at a whopping $13 per cold one.

But I guess Volunteer fans should be grateful they can drink beer at Neyland Stadium at all! Back in my day, UT was still a "dry" campus, and you had to smuggle in airplane bottles of Jack Daniel's in your pants and boots.

Not that I would ever participate in such delinquent behavior.
