Travis Kelce, Aaron Rodgers Hit Up A-List Party As Stars Descend On The Kentucky Derby
It's the first weekend in May, which means a who's who of athletes and celebrities are flocking to Kentucky to check out one of the most spectacularly American sporting events on the calendar: the Kentucky Derby.
But of course, the race itself is like 2 minutes and change, so the biggest draw is all the partying that happens around the race. One of the most star-studded parties of the weekend was Sports Illustrated's Revel At The Races party.
Yes, the publication that looked to be on the ropes just a couple of months ago, just threw a giant shindig at the Kentucky Derby.
The bash was held at The Ice House in downtown Louisville (by the way, I think every city in America has a club, bar, or restaurant called "The Ice House") and this thing was star-studded.
First of all, the Chainsmokers were there to spin some tunes or pretend to press some buttons or whatever it is they do. But they were the entertainment. The big stars were the guests.
Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce was there. I think there's some kind of federal regulation that if you throw a high-profile party he has to be on the guest list.
To the disappointment of some but the relief of the rest of us, Kelce was flying solo for this party. Must be tough for him. Anytime he and the gal pal go anywhere, he can only be the second most famous person on the guest list tops.
What a gut punch for the ol' ego.
Mr. Pfizer had some competition on Friday night. He may not have been the most famous NFLer on hand because New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers was in attendance too.
I think we all want to know what's in that bottle.
Vodka? Gin? Uncle Aaron's special party juice? Could be anything!
While Rodgers and Kelce were the NFL headliners, there were some other current and former players on hand. Devante Adams, AJ Hawke, Jimmy Graham, and David Bakhitiari were all there, as was ex-NBA player Chandler Parsons.
I know what you're thinking, "Sounds like a bit of a sausage party."
Fear not: influencer Alix Earle and SI Swimsuit model Ellie Thumann headlined the *Jerry Lewis voice* Laaaaaaadieeeeeeees' roster.
What a night… probably. Parties like this sound like my own personal hell, but everyone who was there seems to have had a nice time.
Fortunately for them, they can hit Churchill Downs and continue the part with some mint juleps while they watch the 150th running of the Kentucky Derby.
