Tom Brady's Niece, Maya, Is Having A Monster Season For UCLA Softball
Maya Brady, the niece of some retired NFL quarterback named Tom Brady, is tearing the cover off the ball out west.
I know it's Caitlin Clark season right now in the world of women's college athletics, and I'm absolutely cool with that.
But when the basketball dust settles here in a few weeks, I'd suggest turning your attention to the UCLA Bruins softball team and redshirt senior Maya Brady.
The 22-year-old is hitting tanks into the Pacific, closing in on HOF records, and mopping up anyone who dares throw her anything close to the plate.

Goodness gracious. The Tom Brady genes are insane. Gisele may not have appreciated them, but I sure do.
See, this is also why I get so annoyed that there's no next step for elite college softball athletes. Like, this is pretty much the end of the line for Maya Brady.
She's currently ripping liners off people's faces every single AB, and what is she gonna have to show for it? Nothing. She's gonna graduate and then … that's pretty much it.
Caitlin Clark has the WNBA – although, frankly, I'd rather stay in college at this point. Maya Brady has a few more months of being a star college athlete for UCLA and then it's curtains.
Sad.
Anyway, she just snagged her sixth career Player of the Week nod, which tied her with with UCLA Athletic Hall of Famer and current associate head coach Lisa Fernandez for second in program history. Not too shabby.
As for her showing last weekend, along with the above TANK, she hit .667 with a pair of dingers, 8 RBI and reached base in eight of her 10 appearances.
Maya's hitting a measly .406 this season with six homers, and the UCLA ladies are an absolute machine.
Time to keep an eye on this cat. She's got it, and, according to Uncle Tom's Instagram story, he's well aware.
