Tom Brady Eager To See If Dak Prescott, Dallas Cowboys Can Breakthrough In First Assignment In FOX Booth

Tom Brady will debut in the broadcasters booth at FOX next season with an elite matchup that has NFL fans circling the date.

Brady will first appear as a color commentator for FOX's broadcast of the Dallas Cowboys at Cleveland Browns, announced on Monday. The game is scheduled for Sept. 8 at 4:25 p.m. (ET).

New York Giants great Michael Strahan announced the major news Monday. It is part of the NFL's slow rollout of the 2024-25 schedule, which is slated to be dropped entirely Wednesday.

Dallas versus Cleveland is destined to be a ratings hit, both for the playoff-caliber rosters and Brady's first day on the new job.

Brady picked the broadcasters booth as his first new job following a legendary 23-year run in the NFL. He joins the elite broadcasting group at FOX as the network's lead color commentator. The GOAT's deal with Fox totaled 10 years and $375 million.

To say Brady's familiar with the Cowboys would be an understatement. The ex-quarterback boasted a 7-1 all-time record against Dallas in his playing days. Brady didn't suffer his first loss against Jerry Jones' squad until his final game in the NFL, losing to Dallas in the Wild Card round of the 2022 postseason.

Brady threw an early jab at the Cowboys after hearing of his Week 1 assignment.

"They've got great storylines. Dak Prescott, let's see if he can finally break through," Brady said at the announcement event on Monday.

Will Brady have any Deshaun Watson jokes in his playbook?

Brady's next chapter in his career is expected to be as flashy and entertaining as his days in the league. The 46-year-old showed off his major cache with audiences in Netflix's recently live-streamed "Roast of Tom Brady." Brady's three-hour grilling by comedians and former Patriots personnel drew two million viewers.

The seven-time Super Bowl champ looks to repeat his formula for success alongside Kevin Burkhardt in the broadcasters booth.
