Stefanos Tsitsipas Calls Tennis Star Girlfriend Paula Badosa A 'Hippo' Causing The Easily Offended To Lose It

Greek tennis star Stefanos Tsitsipas posted a series of videos on his Instagram Story alongside his girlfriend, fellow tennis player Paula Badosa, showing the couple walking around Monaco. On multiple occasions, Tsitsipas mocks the Spaniard, makes comments about her weight, and calls her a "hippo" at one point.

While the content and conversations are incredibly strange, they're very clearly being playful, but some folks on the Internet didn't see it that way.

"Paula is hungry as always, that’s why I started calling her hippo," Tsitsipas said in one of the clips.

"I want you to become fitter. That’s the nice way of saying it. This walk is about you becoming even more fitter. I’m using strategy behind it. Why am I making you walk the entire Monaco? I leave the assumptions to you," he later said.

As I said, this is some seriously strange behavior, maybe it's more of a European thing to embarrass your significant other, who knows?

The most uncomfortable part of the series of bizarre videos came while Badosa was eating her lunch.

"Your name means small and humble, but you are none of those. One thing you are not is small. You are quite grande. Where is your humility? As I haven’t found it yet," Tsitsipas said.

Badosa laughed along with Tsitsipas after just about every comment he made. She clearly wasn't taking offense to anything he was saying, but you better believe random people on social media were offended and expressed their opinions.

The two tennis stars started dating in May 2023, but announced on Instagram that they had split in May of this year. That breakup lasted all of about seven minutes (about three weeks) as they quickly got back together.

Now they're driving around Monaco in Aston Martin's, eating good food, and making fun of each other putting the brains of the easily offended into pretzels.
