Soccer Fans Fight Uruguay's Players At Copa America Match In Postgame Brawl

Brawls in the stands continue to be soccer's greatest gift to the American sports viewer, and the Copa América semifinal in Charlotte treated viewers to a complete gem of a brawl.

The Copa América tourney continued with Colombia taking on Uruguay in a semifinal matchup from Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte.

Beers, fists and trash were hurled around in a post-match brawl for a game far too entertaining for a Wednesday night.

Colombia's midfielder, Jefferson Lerma, hit the go-ahead score 38 minutes into the match and Los Cafeteros held on for the win, 1-0. Colombia will advance to the Copa América final this Sunday, set to take on Lionel Messi's Argentina team.

Uruguay suffered the gutting loss and had to hear it from the rabid Colombian fans.

Eventually, Colombia's fans in Charlotte baited the losing team's players into the stands, leading to Uruguay's Darwin Núñez getting slugged in the face.

Núñez caused the most fuss among the players involved after wailing on a Colombia fan, which fueled a mob of people trying to break up the fight.

Several rows back, fans fought among fans, with two guys seen going at it, swinging the dukes.

The match descended into total chaos, and it looks like the Uruguayan players are in for some serious disciplinary action.
