SEC Baseball More Dominant Than Football

Most longtime college baseball fans remember the days of Pac-10 dominance, but apparently the new wave resides in the SEC. The conference now holds SEVEN spots within the top 15.

So if you're interested in a sneak peak of MLB's future stars -- now you know where to look.

To demonstrate just how good this conference is: Vanderbilt is 28-6 (11-4 in conference), and they're still not No. 1. They likely have the top-two picks in this year's MLB Draft in that starting rotation, yet they're somehow behind the 30-6 Arkansas Razorbacks. Both have identical 11-4 conference records, but the Razorbacks are flat out destroying non-conference teams.

Is it fair to assume college baseball is getting better now that the minor league system took a COVID-induced step back? I mean, why take a 12-hour bus ride making $2,000 a month when you can have the time of your life in college, especially when it's supremely competitive and rewarding? The SEC is now a baseball factory.

At the very least, we'll have ourselves an epic SEC Tournament at season's end, and we can't wait!
