Delusional Sports Radio Host Doesn't Think Scottie Scheffler Is Good For Golf Because 'He's Got No Rizz'

It didn't take long for someone with a microphone to criticize Scottie Scheffler following his 2024 Masters victory. New York City radio host Maggie Gray seized the opportunity less than 24 hours after Scheffler slipped on the green jacket for the second time in his career.

During Monday's edition of ‘Maggie and Perloff’ on Sirius XM, Gray attempted to make a point that Scheffler isn't actually good for the game of golf nor should he be celebrated as the face of the sport. The keyword there is ‘attempted,’ because she swung and missed, badly.

According to Gray, Scheffler's "got no rizz," therefore he shouldn't be looked at as the top asset in the sport.

"If he's the face of golf, I don't think this is all that awesome for golf because he's got no rizz as the kids say" the adult said on the radio. "He's not a charisma guy. He's not, I'm not saying you have to be big on social media, he doesn't seem to be really connecting with the public in a real way."

Gray didn't just stop with her rizz comment, she dug deeper and downplayed the fact that Scheffler and his wife Meredith are set to welcome their first child together any day now.

"What do you know about Scottie Scheffler, that he almost had a baby this week, something that everyone in the world does" Gray said with an actual straight face.

First of all, having a baby isn't "something that everyone in the world does." Thousands of families aren't fortunate enough to simply say ‘let’s have a baby' and then nine months later a little one arrives.

Second, Gray's comment about Scheffler "not connecting with the public" is simply not true. He may not be the typical 27-year-old guy who lives on social media, but he's absolutely connecting with millions around the world when he speaks about his faith, the love for his wife, and how golf will now be the fourth priority on his list when he becomes a father in the very near future.

Scheffler connects with people because he's a simple, normal, humble dude who just happens to be the best golfer walking the planet at the moment.
