'Save Girls Sports' Group Says Pro-Trans Activists Harassed Them
A "Save Girls Sports" group is alleging that a set of pro-transgender activists harassed them at a contentious school board meeting in Southern California.
Fox News reported on a school board meeting in Riverside, which attracted two large protests on opposite sides of the debate Thursday night. The "Save Girls Sports" side came equipped with t-shirts displaying that all-important message, with the other side displaying support for transgender athletes.
And a prayer group of women who joined the "Save Girls Sports" side said that the trans activists harassed them and, per Fox News, "interrupted their attempts at public speaking and filming content." The Inland Empire chapter of Young Women for America (YWA) told Fox that they were repeatedly insulted by trans activists.
"Members of the pro-LGBTQ groups started heckling and harassing the people in line who were speaking in opposition of their values. Some of these adult protesters were even coming up to the young girls that were going to be speaking and were yelling at them close to their face," Tori Hitchcock, president of the YWA Inland Empire Chapter, said in a statement.
"Seeing how quick these protesters were wanting to make a scene, we decided that we needed to wait and move our prayer rally away from the main lot for safety reasons. We were able to find a spot that was removed but overlooking the event, which allowed us to really visualize what we were praying for. We spent time also praying over the young female athletes who were there to speak. Many of them were the students who were ostracized by their school," Hitchcock continued.
Sounds exactly like the type of treatment that Riley Gaines and other pro-common sense groups have dealt with over the past few years.
Pro-Trans Activists Often Result To Harassment To Get Their Way
Several other attendees confirmed to Fox that the pro-trans groups would use bullhorns and shouting to try and drown out anyone speaking on behalf of women and girls in sports. And it's part of a repetitive, concerning pattern from the pro-trans left.
Unable to win public debates with their ideas or persuasive arguments, the anti-reality left turns instead to shouting down opposing views and demanding that anyone who disagrees with them should be censored.
In some cases, they're willing to resort to violence to avoid having their delusional world view challenged.
The overwhelming majority of the American public agrees that biological male athletes should not compete against women. Most of Europe has now stopped or banned so-called "gender-affirming treatments," which are effectively unsupported experimentation on young children incapable of consenting to such life-altering changes.
But none of that matters to the hysterical left, who functionally act like children when they don't get their way.
Thursday night was just the latest in a long line of examples of embarrassing, indefensible behavior by those who claim to be "tolerant" and "compassionate." But that doesn't apply to women praying, or anyone who dares contradict their absurd ideology.
