Rudy Gobert Got POSTERIZED In France's Opening Game Against Brazil

It’s a good thing France won its opening Summer Olympics men’s basketball game against Brazil, because if not, Rudy Gobert would never hear the end of it.

What is "it," you might ask? Only the nastiest poster to happen in the summer games yet.

To be fair, this is just day one of the basketball competition. But I don’t think that there’s going to be a poster nastier than this one.

I feel like this is the perfect time to just shout  "SACREBLEU!" like a maniac, because that was one phenomenal dunk. Go ahead, you can do it. If someone gives you a weird look, don't worry about it.

Mind you, Gobert is no small dude. The Frenchman stands at a towering 7’1", and is the reigning Defensive Player of the Year in the NBA. Meanwhile, Maozinha Pereira is five inches shorter than Gobert and currently does not play for any domestic team in any country.

And yet, Pereira just said "I’m just gonna send it," and in doing so made Gobert the centerpiece of his career highlight reel. Minha bondade! (That’s Portuguese for "My goodness!" I didn’t know that off the top of my head, I had to look it up).

After seeing Gobert get dunked on in emphatic fashion in his home country, social media was buzzing with hysterical responses to the crazy moment.

Like I said, it’s a good thing France got a 78-66 win, because it takes a little heat off Gobert. But you can bet your bottom dollar that it’s going to be a looooong time before anyone forgets this play - including Gobert.
