Rory McIlroy Tried To Re-Tell Tom Brady Roast Joke, But Totally Botched It
Rory McIlroy is at Quail Hollow this weekend to play in another PGA Tour signature event, the Wells Fargo Championship. Prior to his round, he was out on the driving range recounting jokes from the Roast of Tom Brady.
There was one joke he really liked, and it was about Brady's failed crypto investment. Nikki Glaser, one of the stars of the show, told a hilarious joke that incorporated Brady's investment along with Rob Gronkowski's perceived lack of intellect.
"Tom also lost $30 million in crypto," Glaser started the joke. "How did you fall for that? Even Gronk was like, ‘Me know that not real money.'"
A very funny joke that burned Brady, Gronk and crypto all in one. Rory McIlroy really liked the joke, too. He tried to re-tell it on the driving range, but both messed up the joke and attributed it to the wrong comedian.

It's really a "good news, bad news" moment for Nikki Glaser. On the positive side, Rory McIlroy – one of the most famous golfers in the world – loved your joke at the Tom Brady Roast.
On the negative side, he doesn't realize that you were the one who told it. Credit to Glaser, she was definitely one of the best roasters on the panel, along with Tony Hinchcliffe.
It's always great when lesser-known comedians get a chance to shine at events like this. I also wrote in an in-depth column about the roast and how it was about much more than Tom Brady, the New England Patriots, or anything like that.
It was about the shift in culture that's hopefully happening. People are turning away from the PC culture and embracing humor again. Rory McIlroy re-telling jokes from the Roast, when he knows there's a camera on him, is another positive step towards the light.
