RGIII Torched For Doubling Down On Angel Reese/Caitlin Clark Race War Claim

RGIII is getting cooked after sharing his absurd Angel Reese/Caitlin Clark race war take again.

The former NFL QB turned ESPN personality took serious fire after hopping on X Sunday night to uncork a wild tweet following Clark and the Fever beating the Sky.

"Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese are being used in a race war that is not fair to either athlete or the game of basketball," the former second overall pick tweeted in reference to outrage about Reese smacking Clark in the head.

The backlash was quick and swift…..but that didn't slow him down!

RGIII dragged for, once again, pushing race war claim.

RGIII jumped on Instagram Tuesday to share a screenshot of his tweet with the message, "Caitlin Clark, Angel Reese and the WNBA deserve better. Basketball fans, this is a safe space. Why do you think the discourse around Caitlin Clark, Angel Reese and the WNBA is 99% about everything but the basketball being played?"

His followers and Instagram users weren't having any of the nonsense he was trying to push. The former Washington passer was quickly torn to shreds in the comments.

See some of the best reactions below, and hit me with your thoughts at David.Hookstead@outkick.com:

  • CC has not said one bad remark or disparaged Reese in any way. Reese is fueling it by having no class and attacking CC every chance she gets to try and stay relevant.
  • Reese fuels it bud, let’s not overlook that
  • Race war = dudes arguing in the comments. Calm down everyone lol
  • Angel Reese hate button ->
  • Angel Reese just has sh*tty attitude, it doesn't matter what color she is
  • Angel Reese needs to do better, she is fueling it
  • Oh my god…. Of course this is a race thing now. SWEET
  • Is Clark fouling her too? I only see the videos of Angel Reese fouling CC.
  • You’re part of making it into a race war

As I've said before, the race war narrative is complete garbage and total nonsense. Most sports fans don't care about race at all. They care about the action and winning.

The only people making this a racial issue are people within the WNBA and morons in the media like RGIII. The former Iowa star was literally asked to denounce her fans as racist - something there's no proof to support. People don't love Clark because she's white and they don't dislike Reese because she's black.

Fans flock to Caitlin Clark because she's a generational talent with skills unlike anything we've seen before. On the other hand, people dislike Reese because she loves trying to be a villain while also playing the victim card. It's beyond annoying.

Also, the idea that Clark and Reese are comparable is comical. The Indiana Fever star routinely takes the high road, despite being constantly targeted on and off the court.

Meanwhile, there's never been an excuse Reese has minded sharing. What did she say after hammering Clark in the head? It was a basketball play and the refs are somehow to blame for the Sky losing.

RGIII and others pushing this nonsense need to stop. There's no race war, and the idea Clark's fans are somehow doing something nefarious is just not true. They simply love and appreciate her incredible talent. There's no grand racially-charged conspiracy to support her. Let me know what you think at David.Hookstead@outkick.com.
