RGIII Shares Insane 'Race War' Tweet About Caitlin Clark, Angel Reese

RGIII is the proud owner of one of the dumbest tweets you'll ever see.

Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese, once again, battled it out in the WNBA this past Sunday, and the game ended with the Fever earning another win over the Sky.

However, the moment that left the sports world in a state of shock was when Reese hammered Clark in the head while going for a block.

The Chicago Sky rookie might claim it was a "basketball play," but I'm not sure anyone is buying it.

RGIII fires off unhinged "race war" tweet about Clark and Reese.

Social media erupted with different reactions following the hit on Clark, and RGIII somehow seems to think there's a "race war" angle.

"Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese are being used in a race war that is not fair to either athlete or the game of basketball," the former Washington QB tweeted Sunday night.

Yes, RGIII seems to think there's a "race war" going on in the sport of basketball between fans of Clark and Reese. A truly unbelievable take. In fact, it's so dumb that I had to triple to make sure this was his actual account and not a troll.

Turns out it's very real, and he's getting significant pushback.

This is one of the dumbest tweets that we've seen in a very long time. A race war? What the hell is RGIII talking about?

There are some people intent on turning the situation between Clark and Reese into something it's not. Claiming there's a "race war" is absolutely nuts and not true.

People don't dislike Angel Reese because she's black and people don't love Caitlin Clark because she's white. Some fans dislike Reese because they think she's a sore loser and a dirty player. You want a great example? Reese claiming cracking Clark in the head was a "basketball play" is a great example of why fans don't like her.

On the other hand, people love Clark because she plays the game in a fashion women's basketball hasn't seen before. She pulls up from all over the court like she's Steph Curry, and was the greatest scorer in major women's basketball history.

It seems like the only people injecting race into the situation are losers in the media and other WNBA players. The fans are interested in the rivalry and supporting their preferred side. To claim they're pawns in a race war is absolutely unhinged from reality.

This narrative wouldn't even exist at all if it weren't for people in the media who seemingly hate Clark and her fans. Let's not forget that CC was more or less asked to denounce her fans last week as racist and homophobic, despite there being zero evidence that it is true.

Furthermore, fellow WNBA player Dijonai Carrington also went viral after implying Clark's fans are apparently awful people.

If RGIII doesn't like the narratives he sees, then he should tell his own co-workers at ESPN - looking at you, Stephen A. - to chill out. It's a sport. It's supposed to be fun, and it's very possible to dislike someone without it being a race war. He should be smarter than what he displayed with this tweet.
