Rashee Rice Nightmare Getting Worse, Chiefs WR Accused Of Assaulting Photographer

Talk about a nightmarish offseason.

Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice — dealing with the aftermath of an arrest in March — is now suspected of assaulting a photographer during an incident in Miami Monday night.

On Monday, Rice reportedly injured the photographer at a nightclub, allegedly causing injuries to the man's face which required medical assistance from a nearby hospital. The swelling on the man's face and related injuries were not considered life-threatening. WFAA first reported the news.

As of Tuesday, no charges had been pressed against Rice. Additionally, the Chiefs have not commented on Rice's latest incident.

Fresh off a Super Bowl win with KC and an impressive rookie season in 2023, Rice squanders the spotlight with another incident that could cause Kansas City to reconsider his status with the team.

Rice is already in hot water after a hit-and-run incident in late March that injured several motorists. He faced an arrest warrant in Dallas and may face discipline from the league. Rice also faces a lawsuit from the injured motorists.

A video surfaced showing Rice and others involved fleeing the scene after the crash in Austin, Texas. Further details on the scene noted that authorities discovered 10 grams of marijuana in Rice's abandoned Lamborghini left on the shoulder of the expressway. Rice was racing in a Lamborghini against SMU cornerback Teddy Knox, driving a Corvette also registered under Rice's name. He was traveling at speeds over 110 mph.

The Chiefs reinforced their wide receivers room in the recent draft, picking Xavier Worthy out of Texas with the no. 28 overall pick.

Kansas City has proven to do well without controversial wideouts.
