Texas QB Quinn Ewers Shows Support For Trump After Surviving Assassination Attempt

Quinn Ewers took to social media to support Donald Trump after the former President survived a Saturday assassination attempt.

Thomas Matthew Crooks fired multiple shots with a rifle at the Republican leader from roughly 130 yards away during a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania.

Trump was hit in the ear area of his head, and was taken to the ground by Secret Service before rising back up and hitting the crowd with a fist pump as blood poured down his face.

No matter your thoughts on Trump or politics, hitting the crowd with a fist pump after being shot is incredible, and Ewers loved it.

The Texas star passer took to Instagram and posted two images to his story. One was of Trump throwing up the fist pump. The second was of Trump on the cover of 50 Cent's album "Get Rich or Die Tryin'."

The latter is a clear reference to 50 Cent's legendary song "Many Men" about him surviving a shooting. You can check out Ewers' posts in the tweet below, and let me know your thoughts at David.Hookstead@outkick.com.

It feels like the country changed the moment the shots rang out Saturday in Butler, PA. There have been plenty of gross reactions that I won't dignify by sharing here, but more importantly, there've been plenty of incredible reactions as well.

I don't care what your politics are or if you like Trump or not. This level of violence is completely unacceptable. It's awesome to see so many people step up and show support for Trump in the aftermath, and Ewers leaning into the 50 Cent angle is classic internet content.

Also, I can't stress this enough. It's a miracle Donald Trump is still alive. A 130-yard shot with a rifle on a man of Trump's size is a chip shot for even a bad shooter. Fortunately, the scumbag shooter only nicked the Republican leader, but did hit innocent people in the stands before Secret Service put an end to his terror.

Props to Ewers and everyone else taking a stand against evil. It's not about politics. It's about right and wrong, and what happened Saturday in Pennsylvania can't ever be tolerated. Let me know what you think at David.Hookstead@outkick.com
