Purdue Fans Pull Embarrassing Move Prior To UConn Loss, Get Massive Dose Of Karma: VIDEO
Purdue fans managed to embarrass themselves prior to UConn hammering the Boilermakers.
Matt Painter's team lost 75-60 in the national title game to the Huskies late Monday night. It was a brutal way to end what was an incredible season.
Now, what do you think fans were focused on ahead of the tip? Well, a lot of them at a watch party at the Mackey Arena had the Hoosiers on their mind.
Purdue fans unleash anti-Indiana loss prior to losing to UConn.
Monday night was by far and away the most important game in the history of Purdue basketball, and only the second time in school history the Boilermakers appeared in the national title game.
You'd probably think all they'd be focused on was figuring out a way to beat the Huskies. You'd be wrong. You'd be very wrong.
Fans attending the watch party for people in West Lafayette unleashed an "I-U Sucks!" chant. They sure were feeling confident……and then lost by 15 in the national title game.
Give it a watch below, and hit me with your thoughts at David.Hookstead@outkick.com.
Well, how'd that work out for them? This is what we call getting hit with karma. It was the biggest night of their lives as Purdue fans, and they spent part of it taunting Indiana.
Is there anything more emasculating than thinking about another program during your moment under the spotlight? Wisconsin went to back-to-back Final Fours with one title game appearance when I was in college. You know how much time I spent thinking about teams the Badgers weren't playing? Zero. Not one second, because that's a loser mentality. It's the same loser mentality that leads to people storming the court.
Even if Purdue had won, I'd still be arguing that behaving like the inferior program was embarrassing, but the Boilermakers didn't win.
Their fans taunted Indiana and they were wiping away tears of sadness just a few hours later.
This is why we don't taunt, gentlemen. Play stupid games, win stupid prizes. It's really that simple. Let me know at David.Hookstead@outkick.com if you agree.
