Paris Won't Air-Condition Athlete Housing At Summer Olympics Because Of Climate Change

The 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris are still a few months away, and they're already one of the most ridiculous athletic competitions yet.

Not because of any one individual athlete, or the qualifying process, or the introduction of new sports. It's all due to the political views of the event organizers and their laughable desire to virtue signal on a global stage.

In a recent interview, the head of the organization in charge of building athlete housing for the 2024 games revealed that they didn't add air conditioning to lower the event's "carbon footprint."

"We designed these buildings so that they would be comfortable places to live in in the summer, in 2024 and later on, and we don’t need air conditioning in these buildings because we oriented the facades so that they wouldn’t get too much sun during the summer, and the facades, the insulation is really efficient," said Yann Krysinski, senior VP of Project Management at the company in charge of venues and infrastructure, according to Reuters. "We also are providing naturally cool water that we’re getting from underground to cool the air of these apartments. So you will not need air conditioning in the summer here."

The average high temperature in Paris in mid-summer is roughly 80 degrees, and with sunset near 11pm, there's little to no respite from the sun throughout the day. Makes perfect sense.

Humanity Going Backwards To Please Delusional Activists

The invention of air conditioning was one of humanity's great achievements, something that those living in extreme climates would have dreamed about for millennia.

Now because we are incapable of understanding how computer models work, we're actually reverting back to the way people used to live before modern conveniences.

It's utterly disgraceful, and an embarrassment to our current culture that financially motivated fanaticism is driving this level of extremism.

This event is just a few weeks long, and requires athletes to be in their best physical condition to perform to the best of their abilities. Instead, they're denied air conditioning overnight during the hottest part of the year. Event organizers and the science-denying climate alarmists should be ashamed of themselves.

Instead though, they proudly pat themselves on the back for removing technology to satisfy an ideological goal. No matter who they hurt in the process. What a joke.
