Padres Make History With 3 Walk Off Home Runs in 3 Home Games

The San Diego Padres love to win in dramatic fashion.

The California baseball franchise has sparked some sort of magic in June as last night they once again hit a walk-off home run - their third time in a row at Petco Park. The rare but awesome feat ties a Major League Baseball record for most consecutive walk-off victories at a team's home ballpark.

PADRES DRAMA AT HOME

Last night's Padres hero was Jake Cronenworth who hit a right field blast into "The Crone-Zone" to secure Game 1 of the four-game homestand series against the Milwaukee Brewers.

Cronenworth's home run was one of four on the night for the Padres, who have been infatuated with the long ball hitting for a total of seven during their three dramatic victories. If that wasn't enough - they also had a fourth walk off victory from earlier in June, but that was during an away game.

The good ball play couldn't come at a better time for the Padres, who at 39-40 now hold a Wild Card spot and remain in second place behind the Los Angeles Dodgers in the National League West. It also undoubtedly helps the team's morale, after former infielder Tucupita Marcano was recently issued a lifetime ban for betting on the team's games.
