Oscar De La Hoya Makes Desperate Bid To Fight UFC Prez Dan White

Oscar De La Hoya, 51, wants to fight UFC president Dana White, 54, in a ‘blockbuster' crossover event, which could only end in a P.R. nightmare for the Golden Boy.

De La Hoya said he'd be willing to fight Dana if the UFC chief agreed to a bantamweight fight between Ryan Garcia and the UFC's Sean O'Malley. DLH wants to join the card and settle some ill will with Dana.

"I would actually entertain that because Ryan can fight in the main event with this kid. And maybe I could do Dana on the co-main," De La Hoya said. Whatever goes down, there's apparent bad blood existing between DLH and White.

"We're cool. I mean, I don't know if we're cool. I don't even talk to the guy," De La Hoya added.

Dana wouldn't mind bringing the hammer fists down on the boxing legend. And by the looks of De La Hoya, a mild rear-naked choke by Dana may pop the boxer's melon. The two execs share a contentious past, gleaned from De La Hoya's response to Ariel Helwani.

In 2023, De La Hoya made comments regarding a physical dispute between White and his spouse. Anyone who's followed Dana knows the UFC president could've happily laid hands on DLH for butting in, so a fight doesn't sound entirely preposterous.

"My good friend Dana White is so greedy he decided to steal fighter pay from his new league on TBS ‘Power Slap’ by getting fighter of the night against his WIFE," De La Hoya posted on Twitter.

Could the fight go down? Wise bets go against the notion; though, Ryan Garcia has to get his foot in the door to fight O'Malley in the Octagon. The prized fighter for Golden Boy Promotions made a plea to Dana White, looking for a fight with O'Malley.

Knowing the UFC and Dana White's promotional power reels in lofty paydays, Garcia and De La Hoya are reasonably prodding for fights.

So far, their bait is outside noise as O'Malley defends his Bantamweight title against Marlon "Chito" Vera at UFC 299 (Mar. 9).

Garcia made his desperate bid to Dana White via social media over the weekend: "I’d fight Sean O’Malley in the UFC that’s it but Dana you’d have to cut me that real check."

After bending the knee to Gervonta Davis last April, Ryan Garcia looks all over town for fights to attain some kind of redemption; anything but square up to Davis in a rematch.
