Ole Miss QB Jaxson Dart Prepared For Takeoff After Signing First Ever Private Jet NIL Deal

Ole Miss quarterback Jaxson Dart will have a new mode of transportation for the foreseeable future, as long as he keeps track of his hours. It was announced Tuesday that Dart had signed an NIL deal with Nicholas Air, becoming the first player in this new era to sign a deal with a private air company.

The deal was put together by his agency, Everett Sports Marketing, which allows Jaxson Dart to use private air travel for "travel, training and philanthropy," within allotted hours agreed to in the deal.

We have seen NIL deals that involve cars with a value at over $500,000 and partnerships with energy drinks, along with certain airline companies. But, to have your own private airline travel deal is taking NIL to the next level, given how much money is being spent on these deals on star players.

After leading Ole Miss to an 11-2 record last season, finishing with 3,364 yards and 23 touchdowns, Jaxson Dart might be the most premier quarterback in the SEC from a marketing standpoint. Behind the offensive mind of head coach Lane Kiffin, the Rebels have a chance to compete for a national championship this season.

Having some of the best wide receivers in the country will help Dart put up numbers in 2024, with Jordan Watkins and Tre Harris returning. Add in former South Carolina wide receiver Juice Wells, and Dart should have plenty of targets.

This deal continues to show that NIL has no boundaries, given the promotional value that comes with having someone like Jaxson Dart represent your company.

Given that the NIL landscape continues to change, I can only imagine what other types of deals his marketing agency will come up with next.

It also helps that Nicholas Air is based in Oxford, Mississippi and the quarterback will have an easy time promoting this brand. We will likely see some type of marketing done around this deal with Dart throwing touchdown passes during the 2024 season.

Either way, we have now entered a new airspace when it comes to Name, Image and Likeness.
