Oklahoma State Star Ollie Gordon, 20, Arrested Over the Weekend on Suspicion of DUI After Swerving Cadillac

Speedy Oklahoma State RB Ollie Gordon was arrested over the weekend on suspicion of DUI (Under 21 Years of Age). The news arrived late Monday, shortly after Gordon was released from Cleveland County jail (OK.) stemming from his arrest early Sunday.

According to the OHP officer's affidavit, he arrested Gordon at 2:50 a.m. on I-35. The patrolman caught Gordon swerving across lanes, traveling over the speed limit in his black Cadillac. The player was driving 82 miles per hour in a 65 zone.

MUGSHOT:

Gordon denied having any drinks after the highway patrolman pulled him over. Gordon denied a field sobriety test and then fessed up to having a hint of booze (one drink) while being around friends who were also drinking alcohol.

The affidavit read: "Due to the totality of the circumstances, Gordon was placed under arrest at 02:50 A.M. for DUI Under 21 Years of Age, Transport Open Container of Alcohol, Fail to Maintain Single Lane of Traffic, and Speeding 16-20 MPH."

The patrolman detected a strong smell of alcohol from Gordon and the vehicle. After Gordon's admission to drinking, the patrolman found half a bottle of tequila and a half-full bottle of vodka. Gordon had a BAC level of .11 and .10 after being tested in jail. He was released on Monday.

A player of Ollie Gordon's level shines a major light on this off-field trouble.

In 2023, Gordon racked up 1,614 yards and 20 touchdowns for the Cowboys and won the Doak Walker Award for college football's most outstanding running back. Last season for the Cowboys, the All-American ran for an FBS-high 1,732 yards.
