North Carolina State Coach Lands Massive Bonuses For March Madness Run

North Carolina State coach Kevin Keatts is cashing in on his team's awesome March run.

The Wolfpack secured an auto-bid to the tournament after winning the ACC title, beat Texas Tech in the first round of the NCAA Tournament and ended Oakland's attempt at a Cinderella run with a 79-73 win in the second round.

Keatts went from possibly having to fight for his job to making more money in two weeks than most Americans earn in a year.

Front Office Sports reported that Keatts has earned himself $175,000 in bonuses so far, and locked up a two-year extension that comes with a $400,000 raise.

The man has made himself some serious money.

North Carolina State coach Kevin Keatts cashes in on March Madness success.

There was a very real chance Keatts might have been out of the door if the Wolfpack had lost their first ACC Tournament game.

Instead, North Carolina State won five games in five days to win the conference tourney, and the team is now in the Sweet 16. It's seven straight wins in under two weeks. If that's not impressive, then I don't know what is.

When you win at a high level in college athletics, then there's always money to be found. Keatts is enjoying some awesome success since March rolled around, and he's now padding his bank account.

Plus, he's also locked himself up some more years with the Wolfpack.

Next up is Marquette. Expect the hype train to explode if North Carolina State can pull off the upset.
