Nick Saban Completes Simple Task For First Time Ever At Age Of 72

Nick Saban is getting a bit more tech savvy in retirement.

The former Alabama football coach is learning what life in retirement is like after hanging up his whistle after last season. The man has a lot more free time on his hands. When Miss Terry isn't tasking him with chores, he tries to play some golf.

The seven-time national champion is also notorious for not using technology. He sent his first email a couple months in retirement and he's now added a new ability to the list.

Taking photos on an iPhone.

Nick Saban takes first iPhone photo.

Saban's daughter Kristen, who blocks me on Instagram for some unknown reason, recently posted on her Instagram that her dad "took his first ever picture on his iPhone."

That's right, folks. Saban took his first ever iPhone photo at the age of 72. What an absolute legend. You can check out the photo below, and hit me with your thoughts at David.Hookstead@outkick.com.

How can you not love Nick Saban? The man is simply awesome. He's been on this planet for more than seven decades and somehow only just recently managed to take a picture on an iPhone.

When I say he's famous for not using technology, I'm not kidding. Unlike young people, he's not addicted to his phone and social media.

I need to know what kind of conversation went into this photo. Did he have to be coached up? Did he have to be taught how to fire up his camera? Did he even know where the button was on his iPhone? So many questions!

We need to keep the stories of what Nick Saban is up to in retirement rolling because they're awesome. I can't get enough. This is like reality TV for college football fans. Let me know your thoughts at David.Hookstead@outkick.com.
