Former Nick Saban Staffer Shares All-Time Absurd Story About Alabama Coach

Nick Saban's influence in Alabama extends far off the football field.

The legendary Crimson Tide coach hung up his whistle and rode off into the sunset after this past season, and he's without question the most successful college coach in the history of the sport.

Saban is also known for being responsible for more stories than you can count, and we have an all-time one, courtesy of a former staffer.

Nick Saban allegedly pulled strings involving on a commercial flight.

Former Alabama staffer Tyler Siskey shared a story on the "McCready and Siskey Podcast" involving the former Crimson Tide coach needing to get Dominick Jackson onto a commercial fight.

There was just one problem. Jackson's only flight option would have interfered with Saban's practice schedule, and he wasn't going to change the schedule for any reason.

Siskey claims he was tasked with finding a solution to a problem that seemed to be beyond fixing. After all, how would a college football program be able to impact or influence a commercial flight?

Well, don't count out Nick Saban. Without telling anyone, he seemed to get a police officer to grease the tracks to get Jackson on that plane in Birmingham. Check out the truly incredible story below, and hit me with your thoughts at David.Hookstead@outkick.com.

Of all the Nick Saban stories we've heard - and we've heard plenty great ones - this one from Siskey might be my favorite. Nick Saban was somehow able to get on the phone with someone, and convince a law enforcement officer to drive a player right onto the tarmac of the Birmingham Airport.

Is he a football coach or the CIA director? The dude isn't just scheming up Xs and Os. He apparently has the ability to completely bypass TSA. That's the kind of power and influence you can't put a price on.

Shoutout to Siskey for giving fans what truly be the most entertaining Nick Saban story that we've ever had. Let me know your thoughts at David.Hookstead@outkick.com.
