NFL Network Host Takes Obvious Shot At Harrison Butker During Her Final Show

With NFL Total Access for some reason canceled, the folks running the ship decided to take a shot at Harrison Butker on the way out.

At that point, who cares? You see your shot, take it. You're all fired anyway. What difference does it make now?

Kimmi Chex took her shot last night on the program's final show. As the credits started to roll and the teary goodbyes were being dished out, Chex made sure to let all the viewers know to never, ever "put women in a box."

Let's at least be fair in the Harrison Butker debate

There ya go, Kimmi! Get that devil, Harrison Butker!

I am lucky enough to continue on here with the NFL Network and hope to give more of my voice to the league I love while also being a wife and a soon-to-be mother of two kids. Don’t ever put women in a box because our potential is limitless and we can do it all. I am forever indebted to this show and I thank you at home for accepting my presence on Total Access.

Look, what she said was fine. It wasn't even bad. The message is obviously a good one. I've never put women in a box. Don't plan to, either. So, it's a solid statement …

… but I just don't think that's what Harrison Butker said. I know people are all over the place with this one, but I'm in the "stop taking his comments out of context" camp.

Harrison Butker didn't stand up there and tell all the fine women graduates of Benedictine, "congrats on the big day, now go make me a sandwich!" That's just not what he said. Not even close.

He told them what worked for his wife. For his family. What she did. There's a pretty big difference between telling a group your story, and telling a group what they should do.

Now, disagree with Butker's views all you want. That's fine. It's why we live in America.

But just don't take things out of context. That's all I'm asking here. I know it's a big ask, but give it a try.

Anyway, so long, NFL Total Access.

PS: weird move by the league, huh? Even the NFL couldn't withstand Joe's crappy economy.

Zach grew up in Florida, lives in Florida, and will never leave Florida ... for obvious reasons. He's a reigning fantasy football league champion, knows everything there is to know about NASCAR, and once passed out (briefly!) during a lap around Daytona. He swears they were going 200 mph even though they clearly were not.
