New Dodgers Outfielder Teoscar Hernandez Gives Shohei Ohtani Free Spanish Lessons: 'Hola!'

How 'bout them new-look Los Angeles Dodgers. MLB's team with the most ‘punchable’ face after a star-studded offseason arrived at Camelback Ranch this week to kick off Spring Training. New Dodgers Teoscar Hernandez, Yoshinobu Yamamoto and Shohei Ohtani were guilty of dropping a wholesome moment when Hernandez showed his new Japanese teammates how to greet fans in Spanish.

Even Dodger-hating baseball fans had to crack a smile at Teoscar's Spanish lessons. Ohtani looks ecstatic to be out of Anaheim.

Teoscar's tutoring paid off — Shohei and Yoshi's enunciation wasn't half bad.

WATCH:

Shohei Ohtani has no plans to pitch next season but he still managed to dazzle at batting practice this week.

As the 2023 Mets demonstrated, you can flaunt MLB's largest payroll and still engineer a disappointing season by the trade deadline … so even these star-studded Dodgers are far from a shoo-in for the Commissioner's Trophy next year. Still, looking at the talent they acquired without having to gut their farm … it's an impressive cast of talent.

Aside from the star outfielder in Teoscar and the pair of Japanese aces, the Dodgers also added Tampa Bays Rays right-hander Tyler Glasnow and re-signed Clayton Kershaw to a new deal.
