Let's Fight! New Date Announced for Jake Paul vs Mike Tyson

Fight fans can breathe a sigh of relief as the highly anticipated Jake Paul vs Mike Tyson fight is back on and will take place Friday, November 15th.

"New date, same place, same fate" Paul tweeted out to his millions of followers this morning after the July 20th original bout was postponed due to Tyson saying that he had an "ulcer flareup." That one had the legendary boxer wheelchair-bound at one point.

MIKE TYSON WILL BE 58-YEARS-OLD

The sports world was absolutely shocked when Jake Paul vs Mike Tyson was announced out of nowhere earlier this year. As someone who covers the fighting industry, believe me when I tell you that this was never even rumored - there were literally a handful of people that were working on this deal behind closed doors and were able to pull it off.

To hype the fight even more, Netflix announced they would be the sole network to televise the event, which would be free for all subscribers. Both diehard and casual sports fans were even more intrigued about the fight when it was announced that it would be a sanctioned, professional fight over eight two-minute rounds.  Each fighter will be using 14-ounce gloves and the result will be reflected on their professional boxing records.

JAKE PAUL VS MIKE TYSON BRINGS HUGE BUZZ

Tyson (50-6, 44 KO's) - who will be 58-years-old by the time of the November fight, hasn't won a professional boxing match since a knockout against Clifford Etienne in February 2003. Although his training videos for the originally scheduled July Jake Paul fight were incredibly impressive, and he looked like a straight up TANK, Tyson unfortunately suffered a medical emergency a few weeks ago while flying from Miami to Los Angeles. "[Mike] became nauseous and dizzy due to an ulcer flare up 30 minutes before landing," a Tyson representative told media outlets. Passengers were delayed 25 minutes from deboarding as EMTs helped the "Baddest Man on the Planet,’ off the plane.

A few days later, Netflix announced the fight postponement, much to the disappointment of fans - including those who bought $2 million VIP packages for the fight at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.

Meanwhile, YouTuber-turned-boxer and notorious Internet troll Jake Paul has a record of 9-1 and 6 KOs. Although he began his ‘boxing career’ with pseudo fights against the likes of former New York Knicks guard Nate Robinson and various UFC fighters, Jake has fought three legitimate boxers in his last three contests in which he went 2-1.

Although there is definitely some concern about Tyson's health from a sheer elder age perspective, personally, I can't wait for this fight. Imagine Tyson getting caught with a punch and then just transforming into his old Tyson self and going off on Paul? It'd be unbelievable.

For those that want to enjoy some classic Mike Tyson moments, I pulled up the following videos including early Tyson training sessions.
