NBA Fans Roast Draymond Green For Saying Miles Bridges 'Can Do No Wrong'

Draymond Green would get in so much less trouble if he could just learn to shut his mouth.

The Golden State Warriors and Charlotte Hornets faced off Friday, with the Warriors winning 97-84. But in the waning seconds of the game, a wild scuffle broke out after Hornets forward Miles Bridges took exception to Lester Quinones attempting a layup with the game in hand.

Shortly after the game ended, reporters asked what he made of Bridges getting a little extra confrontational at the end.

Before mentioning what he said, it's worth nothing that both Green and Bridges played college ball at Michigan State. So when it came time for Green to answer the question, he went easy on his fellow Spartans alumni.

"You know, Miles is my guy. That’s my little brother. So I’m not going to go sit here and go in on Miles. Miles can do no wrong to me," Green said.

On the flip side, he had no problem spending three minutes lambasting Grant Williams, who was involved in the scuffle after (but didn’t start it).

Green Forgot About Bridges' Domestic Violence Incident When He Said 'He Can Do No Wrong

Green contradicts himself here. First, he scathingly rebukes players for being mad that players should give it their all until the final whistle. But then, he refuses to criticize the guy who started this scuffle simply because they played at the same college.

That’s not the only troubling element of his comments. NBA fans were quick to highlight that Bridges was charged with domestic violence in 2022 after beating his former girlfriend and the mother of his two children. He is in the middle of a three-year probationary period for this incident.

So when fans saw his "Bridges can do no wrong" comment, they reminded Green that his "little brother" has indeed done some horrible things in the past.

I would normally say that this was a pretty foolish thing to say in a postgame presser. But for Green, this is just normal.
