Still Getting Pounded: Mystics Player Hacks Caitlin Clark, Fever Star Cries 'Foul'

Indiana Fever's Caitlin Clark shouted at the refs for a ‘foul’ call after Washington Mystics center Stefanie Dolson swiped at her during their face-off on Wednesday.

The Fever hosted Washington at Gainbridge Fieldhouse. All eyes were once again on Clark, who's had a break from the headlines since Angel Reese of the Chicago Sky flagrantly fouled her.

During the sequence, Clark challenged Dolson at the rim. The 6-foot-5 Mystics player tried cutting off Clark, throwing an arm that appeared to clip the Fever player.

Clark sounded off on the officials, asking for the foul call after the rough defense by Dolson.

The scene also begged the question: did the refs swallow an easy call? (What do you think: foul or no foul? Send us your thoughts: alejandro.avila@outkick.com)

It's worth noting that the Mystics are one of the few WNBA teams not mocking Clark amid her star-making season.

Dolson started to get hot from the three-point line in the fourth, challenging Clark's long-range shooting. The Mystics center went 4-of-7 from deep.

All around, it was a competitive contest, headlined by the famous Caitlin Clark.

In the first half of the Fever and Mystics game, Indiana maintained a lead throughout but never pulled away from Washington. The Mystics never took a lead in the contest and Indiana won, 88-81, to extend its win streak to four games. Starting the season 1-8, Indiana has turned things around and is now playing cohesive and winning basketball.

Reactions to the 'no call' called out the referees' poor judgment.

"Fascinating to see the WNBA officials miss Caitlin Clark get hacked on both arms by Dolson when she was going in for a layup. Unbelievable miss from professional referees," one X commenter said.

Another added, "Refs are TERRIBLE tonight! CAITLIN CLARK just got clobbered by Stephanie Dolson on a drive--no foul."
