15-Year-Old Golf Phenom Miles Russell Inks NIL Deal With TaylorMade, Shoots 68 On Korn Ferry Tour

Miles Russell can't legally drive a car by himself, but that hasn't stopped him from making some serious moves in the world of golf. The 15-year-old has inked a number of NIL deals with major companies and, and based on the teenager's résumé, those look like very wise business decisions.

Just a month after Russell signed an NIL deal with Transcend Capital Advisors, TaylorMade Golf has acquired the signature of the young man.

"Miles’ record-setting success at his young age is nothing short of remarkable and we are excited he chose us to support him in his growth as a golfer to continue to accomplish his career goals," TaylorMade explained in a statement. "Identifying and developing the top junior talent in the world has always been a priority for us at TaylorMade. Miles and his family epitomize the type of athlete and human being we are looking to add to Team TaylorMade."

Referring to Russell as a "top junior talent" is an understatement.

The Jacksonville Beach resident became the youngest male player to be named the Rolex Junior Player of the Year in 2023. The previous record holder is a man by the name of Tiger Woods, who took home the honors when he was around 10 months older than Russell.

Russell is currently the No. 1 ranked junior player in the Rolex AJGA Rankings and has won three AJGA events dating back to April 2023. Over the course of his last 10 starts on the premiere junior golf circuit, Russell's worst finish is a tie for 14th.

The young man received a sponsor's exemption into this week's LECOM Suncoast Classic on the Korn Ferry Tour, and didn't just hold his own against a field of professionals, he showed out with a first round score of 68.

He'll likely need to fire another 68, at worst, to make the cut and play on the weekend, but given his track record, that doesn't feel like too tall of a task, which is ridiculous given we're talking about a 15-year-old kid.
