Mike Tyson's Old Body Is 'Sore AF' Ahead of Major Netflix Boxing Match Against Jake Paul

Mike Tyson's fight against YouTube fighter Jake Paul quickly approaches, and the press tour begins for Netflix's boxing grudge match.

A 57-year-old Mike Tyson will fight 27-year-old Jake Paul at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas., on July 20, in what's destined to be a box-office-smashing event.

The fight's first presser was live-streamed — from New York — on Monday, and Tyson joked that he's getting too old for this s*** after all the training he's doing in his 50s.

Boxing and UFC commentator Ariel Helwani spoke to Tyson (50-6, 44 KOs) and Paul to get updates on their training two months before the boxing match. He joked, "I'm doing great, but my body is s**t right now. I'm so. Yeah, I'm really sore."

Tyson still said he'd be out for blood once he hit the canvas against Jake Paul, a magnet for viewers in a new age of marquee boxing events, favoring celebrity-on-celebrity action over skilled boxing.

Paul shared Monday, "Tyson was game. I think he's always wanted to do this. It has been a longtime coming. We've been calling each other out for years, and we finally got to make it happen on Netflix … things just keep on getting bigger and better."

Landing Tyson was huge for Paul's status. 

The 9-1 boxer with six knockouts looks to cement his place in boxing with a win over Tyson. Paul has faced plenty of heat as an amateur pugilist who got his foot in the boxing door using his online following. 

Jake Paul announced that he'll prove himself stronger than "Iron Mike" when the two hit the ring, and that he's walking around in the 230s with his weight.

"Everyone else is underestimating me, and I believe that I hit harder," Paul added. "I know it's gonna be tough, I know I'm gonna have to fight through adversity, I know I might even go to the canvas. I'm scared, don't get me wrong, but it's not about the fear stopping me. It's about going into it even though I am scared, and that's what true bravery is."

The boxers faced off, and Tyson gave Paul light pokes to the ribs with his right hook. It was more respectful and passive than most viewers anticipated on Monday.

Tyson-Paul Will Be Pure Box Office

Tyson and Paul's boxing event will be a ratings home run, regardless of who wins. 

People are already lining up to watch the six-time heavyweight world champ pummel the YouTube boxer.

Meanwhile, Paul's base of Gen Z followers will be tuning in to see if the Paul Bro's clout can take a major jump by defeating Mike Tyson in the ring.

Based on the numbers from Netflix's live-streamed event, "The Greatest Roast Of All Time: Tom Brady," the platform should see a major return on investment as it brings a live boxing event to the masses.

As the most popular streaming platform worldwide, Netflix will be an accessible product in a digital age of sports ruined by the amount of pay-walled events. 

Since most people have a Netflix account, the boxing event should be the talk of the town in the offices and social media.
