Mike Tyson Has Medical Issue During Cross Country Flight As Paramedics Reportedly Board Plane

Mike Tyson suffered a medical issue during a cross-country flight from Miami to Los Angeles over the weekend. Paramedics reportedly boarded the plane as it landed following the medical scare.

According to a Tyson representative who spoke with the New York Post, the medical scare was caused by an "ulcer flare" shortly before landing.

"Thankfully Mr. Tyson is doing great," Tyson’s representatives told The Post in an email. "He became nauseous and dizzy due to an ulcer flare up 30 minutes before landing. He is appreciative to the medical staff that were there to help him."

"Mike had some kind of medical emergency on the plane and paramedics boarded," another source told In Touch Weekly. "Before the paramedics arrived the flight issued an announcement asking for a doctor — the message even came on everyone’s screens."

The publication was not made aware of whether or not Tyson was removed from the flight.

The flight was delayed two hours in Miami, but according to Tyson's representatives, the delay had nothing to do with any sort of medical scare. The delay stemmed from an air conditioning issue with the plane.

"He was in first class, but we were in an exit row and the stewardess was very chatty. They asked us to stay on the plane and landed so paramedics could enter," In Touch Weekly noted. "She said something like, ‘He’s a really important passenger so we wanna make sure he’s OK.’ I knew it was him, but I just mouthed the words ‘Mike Tyson’ and she nodded her head yes."

Tyson is scheduled for a highly-anticipated fight against Jake Paul on July 20. Iron Mike will be 58 years old when he steps into the ring against Paul, who will be less than half of his age at just 27 years old.
