Mike Florio Posts Bizarre Rant, Begs People To Take Him Seriously

Mike Florio is an NBC Sports NFL "reporter" and the creator of "Pro Football Talk." Most people don't take Florio seriously, and for good reason: he gets a lot of things wrong.

In fact, on more than one occasion, a writer on an OutKick editorial meeting said something like "did anyone else see [insert potential story]?"

To which the inevitable question: "Wait, did Florio post that? If so, let's wait and see if a real reporter says it before we do anything."

So, yeah, Florio is basically a punchline. And, that's not just OutKick. Everyone knows this to be true.

Apparently, Florio is tired of people calling him out for not being a legitimate source of information. On Monday night, he posted a lengthy comment on X begging for people to take him more seriously.

"To the folks who try to dismiss our reports by saying we have no sources or whatever, you realize we had like 50 guests on our show last week from Indy, right?" Florio wrote. "You realize pretty much everyone in the league reads PFT, right? You realize I've been doing this 23 years, right???"

"The lady doth protest too much, methinks."

Well, many people quickly responded to the post to remind Florio exactly why no one takes him seriously by pointing out the many, many ridiculous things he says on a regular basis.

I mean, this stuff is pure gold. Florio is so insecure about no one taking him seriously that he sends out a post to tell people to take him seriously. Then, people use that post to make fun of him and only take him less seriously.

There's a reason OutKick founder Clay Travis had to take Florio to task just last week for something dumb that he said

In all seriousness, though, Mike Florio is very important. In a sea of horrible takes, opinions and conjecture on the NFL, no one provides more of it than Florio. That takes real dedication.
