Middle Tennessee State Women Mock Louisville After Bracket-Busting Upset

While everyone was locked into the men's NCAA tournament yesterday, I decided to take my talents to the women's side of the bracket to test out the waters.

Now, usually the early-round women's games are blowout city. A bloodbath, as the left would say.

But that wasn't the case yesterday. While LSU just barely avoided an upset, the sixth-seeded Louisville Cardinals weren't as lucky, losing to No. 11 Middle Tennessee State in a stunner.

And I've gotta say – I am 100%, all-in on the MTSU girls. An absolute electric factory up and down the bench, filled with enough talent and pettiness to whet any appetite.

I mean, THIS is how you mock an opponent you've just stuffed in a locker. Trolling 101:

I'm all in on the MTSU women's basketball team

Forget LSU – Hookstead's favorite school! – and forget Caitlin Clark and Iowa. That's old news. Yesterday's news.

I've decided to join the MTSU bandwagon from here on out. I'll ride or die with these girls till the end.

Again, you just don't see upsets very often on the women's side. Do you know how much South Carolina was favorite by yesterday over Presbyterian?

54.5 points.

54.5!

Now, did they cover? Nope. Dawn Staley swings and misses yet again. She'll probably blame the BYU volleyball team for it.

But that's not the point. The point is, women's basketball is usually pretty lopsided, so when these upsets do happen, you have to appreciate them.

The MTSU women made that easy last night. I'm sold.

Bring on LSU.
