Michigan State AD Appears To Subtly Threaten CMU Over Connor Stalions Investigation

Michigan State seems very interested in getting some answers from Central Michigan about Connor Stalions.

The former Michigan staffer is believed to have possibly been on CMU's sideline in disguise against MSU at the start of the 2023 season.

The images of an unidentified man with a goatee in sunglasses and a CMU hat were a major part of the Stalions scandal. He ultimately resigned and took responsibility for running a massive sign stealing operation.

Ultimately, it made no difference because Michigan won the national title. Yet, people haven't forgotten about Stalions, and MSU wants answers.

Michigan State AD reacts to lack of information from CMU.

Michigan State and CMU played back on September 1, 2023, and the images of the man in disguise believed to be Stalions have been public since late October.

Yet, CMU has kept a lid on findings the school might have, and MSU AD Alan Haller doesn't sound too pleased.

"I’m interested in the outcome of the investigation. And it could impact our relationship with Central Michigan," Haller told the Lansing State Journal when discussing the investigation.

MSU currently has games in 2027 and 2030 scheduled against the Chippewas. I don't think it's a stretch to say Haller is indicating if the findings aren't made public or if there's a coverup that happens, then MSU will re-examine whether or not those games happen.

It won't make any difference for MSU, but CMU depends on the paychecks from those games.

It's also wild that it's  now May 2024, and Connor Stalions is still a major topic of discussion. He's nicknamed CIA Stalions and for good reason. He ran a sign stealing scheme so elaborate that it's hard to believe it was even real.

Then, he resigned and fell on the sword to try to protect Michigan. It seems to have worked because Michigan has a national title, Jim Harbaugh is gone to the NFL and Stalions rode off into the sunset as a legend.

You think he cares about what CMU might find from its investigation into whether or not he was on the sideline? You think Stalions cares about MSU?

Absolutely not. The legend of him only continues to grow. MSU better start mentally preparing to not get the answers it wants. Let me know your thoughts at David.Hookstead@outkick.com.
