Marshawn Lynch Gleefully Trolls 49ers Fans In Vegas After Super Bowl Loss To Chiefs
Following the Super Bowl, former Seattle Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch delighted himself by walking around Las Vegas casinos to make fun of sad San Francisco 49ers fans after the team's overtime loss to the Kansas City Chiefs.
Lynch is a national treasure. Yes, I understand he's had a few scrapes with the law, and I don't condone that behavior. However, he's a legitimately funny former football player with an incredible self-deprecating style.
He put his comedy chops on display Sunday night, trolling every 49ers fan he came across.
He had one simple message for them: "F*ck you!"
Lynch himself has an interesting relationship with the Super Bowl. He won a title with the Seahawks to cap off the 2013-14 season. He scored a touchdown in the game, but the team didn't need him much as they cruised to a 43-8 victory over the Peyton Manning-led Denver Broncos.
The following season, the team returned to the big game to face Tom Brady and the New England Patriots. Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll infamously called a pass play, rather than handing the ball off to Lynch, at the Patriots 1-yard line with less than 30 second left to go and Seattle trailing by four.
Of course, you probably know how that ended. Patriots cornerback Macolm Butler jumped the receiver's route and intercepted Russell Wilson to win the game for New England.
Lynch played in three more playoff games throughout the rest of his career, but never made it back to the Super Bowl following the consecutive appearances. Still, he's a Super Bowl champion and that's something no 49ers player since 1995 can claim.
That's a fact in which Marshawn Lynch took great joy in on Sunday night.
Unfortunately, the 49ers fans in his path didn't quite feel the same way.
