LSU RB Trey Holly Suspected of Attempted Murder, Turns Himself In

LSU running back Trey Holly is suspected of attempted murder, stemming from a shooting on Feb. 9, and turned himself in to Farmerville Police Department authorities on Thursday.

The shooting occurred at a Union Parish apartment complex; multiple shots were reportedly fired and three people received medical attention, including one woman in critical condition. No fatalities have been reported.

ESPN's Pete Thamel reported that Holly faces three felony charges, including attempted second-degree murder aggravated criminal damage to property and illegal use of a weapon. Holly is booked at Union Parish Detention Center and held on a $512,000 bond. Two additional suspects have been arrested in connection with the shooting.

The freshman finished his first year in Baton Rouge, appearing in three games. He tallied 11 carries for 110 yards and one touchdown for the Tigers.

WFAB's Jacques Doucet relayed a statement from LSU, acknowledging the player's arrest and announcing Holly's indefinite suspension.

"We are aware that a student-athlete has been arrested in relation to a shooting in Union Parish. This student-athlete has been suspended indefinitely from all team activities, in accordance with departmental policies. Out of respect for the judicial process, we will have no further comment."
