LPGA No. 1 Nelly Korda Caught Crying During Awful Round And Fans Are Divided

The No. 1 LPGA golfer on this planet – Nelly Korda – has the internet in an absolute BATTLE this morning over her actions yesterday on the golf course.

Nope. She didn't hit a hole-in-one. Didn't shank one into the stands. Didn't toss a club, or get caught on a hot mic. She did, however, appear to be crying after exiting the woods during an absolute implosion of a round.

Korda, who opened the tourney with a nice, solid 69, shot 81 yesterday and missed yet another cut. That would be a whopping three in a row!

Nelly Korda has golf fans in a tizzy

Whoooooooooooooooof. Tough look here, and I'm not positive yet which camp I fall in. The internet is all over the map with this one.

Some want Nelly banished forever because there's no crying in golf. You ever seen Tiger Woods cry during a tough round? Don't think so. Woman up and get back to work. Crying ain't gonna get you out of this slump.

Others, of course, heaped loads of praise on Nelly Korda for being raw, unapologetic, and for, most importantly, talking to the media after this disastrous round.

I believe just last weekend someone named Rory refused to do that, which also had the internet talking.

Let's go to the comments!

Just all over the map. I guess I sort of agree with that last comment. At my absolute best – and I'm talking every single lucky bounce going my way – I'm probably shooting 87. That's the peak. So, who the hell am I to judge Nelly Korda for crying after a crappy day?

Would I do it? Lord no. I think the last time I actually cried during a sporting event was little league, which, I reckon, also justifies those who are currently calling Nelly a crybaby.

It's a tough look for a grown person to cry during battle when things aren't going their way. No argument there, either.

So, after further review, I guess I'm riding the fence here? I don't know. I like Nelly. She's a pistol. I think I need more context before making my final decision.

Eh. Not sure that helps much. I'm still torn. Is she a baby for crying during a bad round or are we giving Nelly Korda a pass here?
