Las Vegas Raiders Troll Patrick Mahomes With Kermit Puppet
Remember this video when the Chiefs win their fourth Super Bowl in six years … and you can thank (or reprimand) the Las Vegas Raiders for that win.
The Raiders handed the Kansas City Chiefs perfect bulletin board material Thursday when they debuted their new Kermit puppet at training camp.
The puppet, a not-so-subtle dig at KC quarterback Patrick Mahomes' croaking voice, repeated Mahomes' infamous "I'm here!" cry. Raiders players paraded the puppet around, mocking the back-to-back Super Bowl champs.
Mahomes' slogan came from a bitter exchange of words with Raiders DE Maxx Crosby in 2023.
Mahomes found it tough, but the rest of the football community teased him for his benign yelling. Now the Raiders are recycling those scenes to throw shots at Mahomes.
Will the gamble pay off for Las Vegas?
WATCH:
The Raiders are trying to punch Goliath in the mouth, even if they're all bark and no bite, especially compared to the Chiefs under Mahomes. The Raiders are flaunting the Kermit puppet with a perm, lighting as great of a fire underneath Mahomes as ever. Las Vegas' miserable offense certainly can't cash the checks their team is writing.
You can argue that the ‘tough guy’ voice sounds like the Muppets character, but Mahomes has won three Super Bowls by age 28 and has never finished below first place in the AFC West.
To this point, we have yet to see a pissed-off Chiefs team. We may finally have one.
