Las Vegas Aces Vet Pulls Incredible Classy Move After Caitlin Clark's Hard Tumble

Las Vegas Aces' Jackie Young made some new fans on Tuesday.

Caitlin Clark and the Fever traveled to Las Vegas' T-Mobile Arena on Tuesday night for a sold-out showdown against the two-time WNBA champion Aces.

The contest was expected to be a heated matchup as Clark braced to take on WNBA MVP favorite A'ja Wilson and the Aces. Wilson sparked some of the public chirping against Clark, a surging phenom in the league.

The matchup had some probability of getting chippy.

Minutes into the game, Clark took a hard tumble on a drive to the basket and appeared shaken up by the fall.

Rather than going full ‘Angel Reese’ on Clark, Las Vegas Ace's vet, Jackie Young bent down next to Clark as the rook fixed up her shoe, buying her extra time with the official and giving Clark a breather. The act of kindness stood out like a sore thumb in the hotly anticipated matchup and fans on social media appreciated Young's kind gesture.

Clark appeared to appreciate the veteran move, as well.

Clark didn't play up to her typical standard but gave a strong performance with 13 points, 11 assists and six rebounds.

Team USA members A'ja Wilson and Kelsey Plum overwhelmed Indiana, combining for 62 points. Clark and the Indiana Fever (8-13) will need to push through a rough four-game stretch to stay on track for a postseason run — facing the Liberty, Mystics, Mercury and Lynx.

Tuesday's sold-out crowd at T-Mobile Arena drew 20,366 fans to the game, marking the fifth-largest WNBA attendance since 1995, per Aces reporter Callie Lawson-Freeman.

The stage is set for a massive WNBA All-Star turnout for Caitlin Clark and her fellow All-Stars. Clark was also announced as a member of the Team WNBA All-Star roster, joining Angel Reese as the only two rookies to make the ASG. On July 20, Clark and Reese — longtime rivals — will play as teammates.
