Lane Kiffin posts powerful tribute to his father Monte after his passing at the age of 84.

People on social media were quick to show support for Lane Kiffin during this incredibly tough and sad time.

Death is never easy, and losing your father is a life-changing moment for many men. Many of us grow up idolizing our father.

It's a brutally tough situation, but there's no doubt Monte was a legend. He helped coach Nebraska to a pair of national titles and was the DC of the Buccaneers when the team won Super Bowl XXXVII.

But above all else, he was a dad and it's clear Lane Kiffin shared a very close connection with his father.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Lane and the rest of the Kiffin family during this incredibly difficult time.
